China On Call

Mainland China · Car · Guide · Interpreter

A private car, guide, or interpreter — matched by a person.

Message us on WhatsApp — a coordinator picks it up quickly, and nothing is confirmed until you agree.

  • A coordinator reads the brief. Nothing is confirmed until you agree.
  • The quote comes back on WhatsApp after the trip is clear.
  • Hong Kong and Macau are not cities we cover.

Your brief

City, dates, party size, language, and the service. That is enough to start.

Service

A coordinator replies in the same chat with a plan and a quote.

The match

Four facts, then a person replies

  1. 01

    Send the brief

City, dates, party size, language, and whether you need a car, a guide, an interpreter, or more than one.

  2. 02

    We see who is free

A coordinator matches the city and the working language. This is not a directory you book yourself.

  3. 03

You receive a plan and a quote

The reply stays in the WhatsApp thread. Rates stay off this site because hours, distance, season, and language change them.

Twenty cities

Cities with a page

These twenty hubs are open. You can still name another mainland city in the brief.

North China01

Beijing

Palace, hutongs, and a Great Wall day that needs a car.

East China02

Shanghai

The Bund on foot. The useful car days leave the inner streets.

Northwest03

Xi'an

The Terracotta Army is outside the walls. The city is inside them.

Southwest04

Chengdu

Pandas in the morning, teahouses in town, day trips beyond it.

South China05

Guilin

River hills, and the usual pairing with Yangshuo.

South China06

Yangshuo

West Street is walkable. The countryside people come for is not.

Central China07

Zhangjiajie

A park in pieces. The gate you choose is the day.

Southwest08

Chongqing

A steep river city, night views, and a cruise terminal that must be named.

East China09

Hangzhou

West Lake on foot. Tea villages by car.

Tibet10

Lhasa

Altitude first. Then the Jokhang, the Potala, and the monasteries.

Yunnan11

Kunming

A mild first night, a Stone Forest day, and the road toward Dali.

Yunnan12

Dali

Three places: the old town, the new city, and the villages on Erhai.

Yunnan13

Lijiang

Old town lanes, and a snow-mountain day that should not be casual.

Yunnan14

Shangri-La

Higher again. Monastery, old town, and grassland that needs a car.

Central China15

Yichang

A dam visit and a cruise terminal. The ship time is the brief.

East China16

Huangshan

The mountain is the trip. The villages are the other day.

East China17

Suzhou

Gardens worth a slow morning. The outer ones need a car.

East China18

Nanjing

Republican history, the wall, and Zijin Mountain as its own day.

Xinjiang19

Urumqi

A gateway city. Heavenly Lake is a car day. The region is larger than the city.

Xinjiang20

Kashgar

The old city on foot. Anything beyond the lanes needs a car and a clear route.

Why is there no price on the site?

A coordinator quotes after the city, dates, party size, and language are clear. The site does not show a starting rate.

Do you cover Hong Kong or Macau?

No. This desk covers mainland China only, including the Tibet and Xinjiang cities when a page or a brief asks for them.

Which app should I use?

WhatsApp is the channel we answer. If you prefer WeChat, scan the code on the contact page or in the footer.

Will I see a list of named guides?

China On Call is a team desk. We introduce the person who fits the job. We do not publish personal profiles.

Is the website language the guide's language?

No. You can read this site in English, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese, and still ask for a guide or interpreter in another language.

Send the city, the dates, and the language.

A coordinator replies on WhatsApp with a plan and a quote. The WeChat code is on the contact page and in the footer if you would rather scan.
